Due to their compact size and ease of use, all Q heat 5 models are suitable for recording the consumption of radiator and underfloor heating systems and can also be used for hot water separation. They can be supplied in various sizes in the form of a measuring capsule or in the form of a measuring condenser. All flow meters are available in specified flow sizes of 0.6 / 1.5 and 2.5 m3/h.
As a leading supplier of systems for recording consumption data, we offer a comprehensive range of systems to make it as easy as possible for you to integrate our heat meters into a remote reading system.
The latest Q heat 5 with union is equipped with an integrated M-Bus interface and two additional pulse inputs. This allows 2 water meters with pulse output to be connected.
Measurement principle The flow sensor of the screw-in meter operates on the principle of ultrasonic measurement. The flow of water is measured by means of acoustic sensors. This measuring principle is characterized by very low maintenance costs and the absence of mechanical moving parts for precise volume flow determination. An incorrect flow direction is detected and indicated by an error message on the display. INFO: Use only water without chemical additives as medium for this device. Glycol additives are strictly prohibited! Systems must be completely vented prior to start-up.
Determination of heat consumption An internal calculation based on the temperature difference measured in the flow and return pipes, the measured flow rate and the heat coefficient calculated in the same way results in the heat quantity being displayed on the LC display in physical units (kWh, MWh, MJ, GJ).
Recording consumption values The heat consumption values are collected continuously. The current status is stored at 24:00 on the recording day. The recording day can be set with two buttons or with the help of a programming tool; December 31 is serially entered. The heat meter calculates a control number by storing the current consumption and the annual consumption. This number can be read out together with the value of the set day and checked in the billing program. In this way, incorrect display readings (e.g. “number meter”) are detected. The record date value is stored for one year.
